Dhlakama fought for freedom and democracy from 1976 to 1992, then he fought for human rights and free elections until the day he died on May 3, 2018.
His leadership was the reason that Mozambique is at peace for decades.
His legacy has to last in order to maintain that peace.
Mozambique needs this peace prize.
The world should be aware of the sacrifice of more than 28 million people due to the sacrifice of one man who kept hope for a peaceful country.
We the Mozambicans and/or citizens of the world call on the Nobel Committee to nominate Afonso Dhlakama for the postumous Nobel Peace Prize.
