The current Slum houses have not been lived in for over 50 years and have been reported by two independently qualified structural engineers as unsafe.
Pest control companies have also refused to enter the property due to years of toxic build up, damp and the property being structurally unsafe.
The Regeneration would promote local business, footfall, residence and also promote the regeneration of the new area in line with the investment made most recently in Leicester city center.
The council have published plans to regenerate From the Clock Tower to Belgrave Gate Roundabout of which falls within the area of buildings 122-132 belgrave gate & 1 garden street.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to demolish above existing buildings and area and regenerate the area with the build of the above description. The area requires urgent attention as it is has been surveyed and it has been recommended that If the property is required for commercial reasons it should be demolished and a new property rebuilt.
