In keeping with our University's dedication to pursuing green initiatives, we the members of Fordham University's student body would like to voice our desire to have bottled water removed from Lowenstein Cafe and all Fordham Lincoln Center vending machines.
It is our belief that the convenience of purchasing bottled does not justify the devastating toll bottled water takes on our environment, our resources, our economy, and our human rights.
We are fortunate to live in a city with clean, refreshing municipal water. We prefer to use our water fountains than continue to contribute to a system that only makes waste.
By removing bottled water from Fordham College at Lincoln Center, we will be sending a clear message to our global community: we are Fordham, and we care for our environment.
We, the undersigned students of Fordham University, call on Fordham's Facilities and Sodexo to remove bottled water from all campus locations.
