I would like to see a crosswalk put between 40A Avenue and 52 Street. 40A Avenue is very busy and the traffic drives at high speeds. My children will be attending parkdale elementary school soon and I can not foresee us crossing this road everyday.
Someone is going to get hit by a car. Even pulling out of my driveway I have had numerous near misses my vehicles travelling around the bend and screeching their brakes to stop from hitting me.
There are no crosswalks at 40A Avenue at all.
I am asking you to sign this petition for many reasons:
I see that some of you walk your dogs and if you had a crosswalk, wouldn't it be easier to cross then to have to run with your dog across the road?
Wouldn't you like to see the traffic slow down in this area, it travels much too fast on both bends of the road.
Please help me so that I can cross the road with my children and feel safe in doing so.
