The neighborhoods in our city, the way they are now, are unsafe. Drivers are speeding down neighborhood streets, assuming that nothing is in their way. It is creating for unsafe environments for children, parents, and pedestrians in neighborhoods.
We now have to worry about letting our families play outside. If speed bumps are built in neighborhoods, drivers would be forced to slow down. This would force them to make time to look around and see their surroundings.
It'll keep them from speeding down streets and it will make them more cautious.
We, the undersigned, call on the local government and neighborhood association to create speed bumps in large neighborhoods.
