Im starting this petition for the extreme need of electrical socket covering in ALL elementary schools from grades K thru 5th. My son Kevin H. whom is 8yrs old and is ADHD, was electrocuted in his classroom sitting next to his teacher.
He suffered 1st degree burns to his index finger and thumb. I was not notified of the incident until day five. Which I learned "There are no coverings nor guidlines or policies implented for the saftey for our children. Not only for second graders, but from kindergarten up to 5th grade. So lets protect our children from preventable injuries.
We, the undersigned, call on U.S. Department of Education and President Obama to implement guidelines and policies, to protect our children, in all elementary schools, to have electrical sockets covered; from kindergarten thru fifth grade classrooms, settings, school library, and cafeteria.
