Community Petition to Adventist Healthcare
Our community has great respect for The San, San Day Surgery and Dalcross Adventist Hospital for excellence in health service delivery. Nurses and midwives are the backbone of Adventist HealthCare hospitals. They work tirelessly to provide the best quality patient care for our community.
Adventist HealthCare prides itself as an employer of choice and as a good corporate citizen. However their recent low pay offers and threats to the employment conditions of nurses do not reflect this.
We urge you to value our nurses and midwives by:
1. Increasing their wages so they are comparable with other not-for-profit private hospitals;
2. Protecting Salary Sacrifice in their Enterprise Agreement; and
3. Paying them to complete employer compulsory professional development.
