On March 22, 2011, the architect and developer of 3001 North Washington Blvd., known as the Penzance Project, presented their initial plans to the Clarendon 1021 Unit Owners Association.

At that time, the Association, which represents over 419 unit owners, requested that the Developer consider relocating the loading dock and parking garage entrance to 11th Street, lowering the impact that this project will have on our community as a whole.

We argued that placing the loading dock and entrance on 11th Street corresponds more appropriately with the loading dock for Clarendon Center, as well as the commercial spaces on the ground floor of the entire block.

In addition, locating these entrances to 11th Street will provide a continuous stream of retail space along North Garfield Street enhancing the community as a whole.

The Development team agrees with our assessment and has submitted their Site Plan to Arlington County with the loading dock and parking garage entrance on 11th Street.

We ask your support, as residents of Clarendon 1021 and Arlington County to sign this petition supporting the Penzance Project, as submitted to the Arlington County Site Plan Review Committee.

We, the undersigned, representing the unit owners and residents at Clarendon 1021 Condominium strongly support the Penzance Project Site Plan as submitted to the Arlington County Site Plan Review Committee.
