Change in the way the justice system works!

I am putting this petition in place to get a change in the way the justice system works. Many judges are to leanient when it comes to sentencing juivinelles that have committed a serious crime or offence, I am hoping that by putting this petition together that we as a community can work together and get a change in the justice system that this country needs. I strongly disagree and I'm sure many other people will agree that juivenelles should not be given a lighter sentence simply because of their age. I have witnessed first hand a court hearing that involved a member of my family that was murdered by two juvinelles however the jury decided that they should be given the lesser sentence of manslaughter because of their ages and because they was considered not mature enough to make adult decisions however I disapprove of this as the juivenelles was only given a sentence of 4 years and the second juivenelle that was involved only got a sentence of 24 months, which I believe sends the wrong message out to young people the message been that it is ok to commit a murder and take somebody's life and you will not serve anymore than 4 years for the offence, however with the sentence that was given been 4 years that is halved so In reality the juvinelle will only do 2 years for taking someone's life. My point to this petition is if juvinelles recieved the same sentencing for the same crime committed by an adult, juvinelles would not be as easily influenced in comitting such serious crimes. I therefore think that the justice system needs changing and should impose longer sentences on younger people no matter the age.
