CBD Oil has proven to reduce pain in Fibromyalgia sufferers but unfortunately we do not fall under the category that our GP's can give us a prescription to avail of this amazing oil. As fibromyalgia sufferers we are on different drugs Lyrica, Amitriptyline etc to control the pain, these drugs help a little but because they are used to treat depression also this means that they are mind altering also and we still go through the daily pain, fibromyalgia also comes with insomnia which means we have to take sleeping tablets but if we were allowed the use of CBD oil we would be able to come off all these tablets and use the CBD oil at our own discretion when the pain is at its worse and we would be able to control the pain without mind & emotional altering drugs.
We, the undersigned, call on the Irish Government to give our GP's the rights to prescribed CBD oil to their Fibromyalgia patients and also for this disease to be placed on the listing of medical issues that can be treated with this oil.
