I am currently circulating for interest in a class action lawsuit against the CBE for the danger they have put our children in and the recovery of financial losses by parents due to their false claim of Bill 1 being the reason for their discontinuation of services.
Fact: Parents have only been given 2 weeks notice of severely reduced services under congregated stops. These stops do not service all communities.
Fact: parents will lose wages ( myself about $20,000 if not my entire salary)
Fact: CBE has not valued the education for students who have chosen their path of learning, nor was proper time given for notice in regards to childcare required.
Fact: CBE itself is not adhering to guidelines that our government outlines for adequate childcare conditions. Now expecting a 3 km walk for young children in communities where local school is not available.
Fact: The decisions of CBE will greatly impact other levels of government's budgets. Eg. Calgary transit, childcare subsidy, road maintenance (due to increased traffic)
Fact: underutilized schools is part of CBE's issue with overhead and spending.
The Education Minister has called for a full audit, I am calling for my tax portion returned and compensation of the lost wages as well as childcare costs I am incurring due to the CBE's gross negligence.
Stop hiding behind Bill 1 and pay the price for bad management!!
I am currently preparing a class lawsuit against CBE for bad management. We pay your wages, now you will have to compensate us for our lost wages. So far I have $150,000 from four parents, this is projected to be about 6 million between all parents that have come forward.

All other schools affected by these last minute, unethical and unplanned changes. They should be held accountable for taking our tax money, then using our children's safety as a weapon of terror against us with less than 6 months notice. This is resulting in childcare costs, lost wages, and the risk and responsibility is on the parent. Let me know how much the CBE owes you!
