We need a new footpath built part-way along Black Road Flagstaff Hill, next to the new development area of Flagstaff Pines. It is for us and horse riders to feel safer when walking/jogging/riding along Black Road.
At the moment there are stones, mud, and holes along the road side that makes it an unsafe surface to walk on, as it is a tripping hazard for residents and horse riders.

The road speed limit is also 70km/h and is dangerous when drivers are unable to see pedestrians coming around the corners, because they are forced to walk close to the road.

We don't need to have a serious accident or death before something is done. Also with all the money that is paid in council rates, where is it going to?

Please sign this petition if you are a regular walker, jogger, or horse rider along Black Road, and if you care about the safety of your community.

We, the undersigned, call on the council of Onkaparinga to build a footpath part-way along Black Road, starting from The Boulevard Flagstaff Pines, to the roundabout of Flagstaff and Black Roads, at least one side of the road (Flagstaff Pines side).

We do not feel safe as local residents/horse riders walking/jogging/riding along Black Road as the surface next to the road is extremely poor.

Please help us by honouring section 14b of your Council Development Plan under land division, roads and access to "Provide for footpaths, cycle lanes and shared-use paths for the safety and convenience of residents and visitors."

Thank You.
