This petition is to address the imbalance of education towards the deaf community in Northern Ireland and the UK.
It hopes to establish an introduction of sign language education into the school curriculum, starting at primary schools and advancing to secondary schools.
This will enable the deaf the ability to have a voice, and express their opinion to all UK citizens in the future. This will also help those who have lost hearing through work, as they will already have learned a second language using BSL
We the undersigned, call upon the UK Parliament, and Government to introduce a Sign language act, into the primary and secondary school curriculum
