Ashoka Pillar built in 300 BC by Indian Emperor Ashok during his pilgrimage to the birthplace of Buddha still stands Lumbini. A thorough excavation and investigation near the Ashok Pillar has found the Nativity Stone that was laid down to mark the Buddha’s birthplace.
The UNESCO has already proved that buddha was born in lumbini which is located in rupandehi district of Nepal and a world heritage site.

Dear Mr. MacGregor,
I'm not shocked after hearing the news because no one can change the history and truth that buddha was not born in Nepal.
We are in the twenty first century and we better know that only the evidence and proof can show the verdict and we have the evidence and proof that Buddha was born in Nepal not in India. Thank you.
