Centennial C.V.I is currently faced with a growing problem - there is a lack of money. This may be due to the recession or another external factor. The point, however, is that because of this, the school has decided to take away two hundred and fifty computers from the students and simply turn the whole school wireless.

The school holds the firm belief that students can work at home and do all of the research required for a project on their own. On top of this, it is YOUR fault if you do not have a laptop and are unable to access a computer at home. That's right, your fault. But hey, you can afford this right? I mean its only about $500 for a decent laptop. Yeah, no.

If this a concern to you, please consider signing the following petition so that we may stop this madness before it begins.

We, the undersigned attenders of Centennial C.V.I, wish to bring to your attention the following:

Centennial C.V.I plans to take away two hundred and fifty computers from the school in an effort to simply save some money.

If these computers are taken away, the students will have lost access to a resource that defines their generation. Students without computers at home who are unable to afford one will suffer and will lose access to extremely useful tools. Students who have a desktop computer will also suffer, because they will no longer have the means to print, access the internet, or work on assignments at school.

The only people who benefit from this decisive move are the students who own a laptop. These are very few in numbers compared to the number of students in the school.

We petitioners do not believe that taking away two hundred and fifty computers from the school is a smart nor practical solution. Reducing that number at least in half is far more reasonable and fair to the students who depend on the computers at the school.

THEREFORE, taking away two hundred and fifty computers from Centennial C.V.I is detrimental to the students' success because it favours the few who do have laptops but is costly and ineffective for the students who do not have this privilege.
