I am Margot Bruemmer. I was born and raised in Tinton Falls, NJ. My family and I have been exiled to Mexico since 2005 due to a 10 year and a permanent bar that my husband, Osmark Bruemmer Gonzalez, got for immigration mistakes. Now not only am I, a citizen of the United States, suffering severely, but we have two little daughters—Daniela age 2 and Andrea age 4—who are suffering as well.

We are being deprived of access to US health care, education, and personal security, among other things. The laws that punish my husband are harsh and disproportionately punitive for violation of a civil immigration law. My husband is an excellent man. He is an excellent father and a hard worker, simply an upstanding citizen who made some mistakes in the past.

We, the undersigned, call on our representatives to AMEND the laws and allow for immediate waivers for Osmark Bruemmer Gonzalez so that he can process his visa and come back to the US now.

Specifically, we ask our legislators to please support general waiver reform with uniform standards for 212(a)(6)(c), 212(a)(9)(a), 212(a)(9)(b), and 212(a)(9)(c) that will specifically benefit US citizens who live in exile such as the Bruemmers.
