Our mission is to start a streetcar system in the City of Indianapolis. While streetcars were once very prominent in the city, they lost the battle as highways and the automobile became more common.
As fuel prices become more uncertain, and the reliance on foreign oil being a problem, America should be more "green" in thought and practice...so why not a streetcar?
We, the undersigned, call on the Mayor's office to establish a committee, headed by Herschel Wilson to be called Metro Indianapolis Transit Service, or MITS to create and establish a streetcar system in Indianapolis.
