Our school district has a top notch, state of the art swimming pool and a community full of potential and current outstanding swimmers and divers. Our hard working athletes deserve to have a knowledgeable and highly qualified coach to lead them to future success.
This coach should help them improve their swimming technique which will then in turn increase their speed and will also prevent injury. This individual should be able to develop appropriate swim practices per ability level. A highly qualified swim coach must treat all swimmers appropriately, with dignity, equality, and fairness and must also have a true knowledge of this sport including a knowledge of all PIAA rules. The head swim team coach must have the proper training and be knowledgeable in working with student athletes in a professional manner.
A true coach builds up a team, builds confidence, and through positive practices, builds the character of the swimmers. They shall not act inappropriately, nor should they knock athletes down, breaking their spirit through negative actions.
We the parents, swimmers, divers, future team members and the local supporters of the Nazareth HS Swimming and Diving Team call upon the Nazareth Area School District to hear our plea to locate and hire a highly qualified coach to lead our team to success through extensive knowledge of the sport of swimming and through the usage of positive practices at all times when working with our athletes.
