When Gottschalks Department stores went out of business in July 2009, loyal customers on the east side of Modesto were left with no where to shop.
With the news that Joe Levy will be bringing Gottschalks back to life as "Gottschalk by Joe Levy," the former Century Center employees and customers are hopeful that he will choose this location as one of the new stores. Century Center Gottschalks was a profitable destination store with no competition in the local area.
The CC Gottschalks was truly a unique store in that the employees and the customers all felt like a big family.
We, the undersigned, would like to request that Joe Levy strongly consider opening "Gottschalk by Joe Levy" in the Century Center shopping center in east Modesto.
