Recently the Lawton Oklahoma school board voted to terminate school bus routes that are within a one and a half mile radius of the junior high schools and high schools in Lawton.
What they did not consider is these 6th and 7th grade students will have to cross two major,four lane roads(67th st and Gore Blvd,) to get to school. This is a small town with alot of morning traffic. Parents are very concerned now with their childs safety.
We are petitioning to request the Lawton Oklahoma School Board to bring back our school buses for the safety of our children.
