Kate Beecroft- Minister for Health & Social Care

Isle of Man

Kate Beecroft, minister for Health & Social Care has made a decision to not fund our local charity ‘Age Concern, Meals on Wheels’ leaving many vulnerable, elderly service users without healthy, nutrious meals delivered to their homes.
Kate believes our Island Tax payers money could be used elsewhere and that other organisations, which although promised, have not yet been provided to the Service users of Age Concerns ‘Meals on Wheels’, could offer cheaper alternatives. However, Kate hasn’t been able to show evidence of this statement.

Age Concern not only provide our vulnerable elderly residents with hot meals, but also with company & compassion to those that need it most.

As time goes on, older people are living longer and if we can keep the elderly in their own homes by providing these type of services from age concern, it will in theory, save the state a fortune, as in nursing/residential homes would not be an only option.

Meals on Wheels provided by Age Concern is a very important service to many of our elderly residents. Some elderly people don’t have family or friends to rely on, whilst Age Concern can do this!

BRING BACK MEALS ON WHEELS-AGE CONCERN!!!

Think of our elders, for we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them.

Please sign the petition to help Kate Beecroft recognise that she is taking funding away from the wrong places!!
