Bring Back Donnie Yen and Wilson Yip for IP Man 3

LETTER OF URGENT APPEAL-DONNIE YEN AND WILSON YIP

Dear Mr. Raymond Wong:

I work in the media and entertainment industry. I respect your work as a veteran actor and producer. However, I am concerned about the recent news in which Donnie Yen and Wilson Ip will not be filming the third installment of the Ip Man Franchise. I am a die hard fan of both of them and hope it is not true.

If it is, I urge you to fix the rift between you, Donnie and Wilson.

Here's why. First, Millions of fans have desperately been waiting for the third installment. To do the film without Donnie and Wilson is financial and creative suicide.

Second, If there are budget concerns, then I suggest that you appeal to fans for support or seek investors outside of China. Ever thought about that? Funding for the Asian film industry is an ongoing problem, but you have to think outside of the box!

You could hold an international marketing campaign asking fans to contribute or sponsor the film. You can capitalize on Donnie's and Wilson's star power as the "Dynamic Duo of Film Collaboration". Third, I know your son is a successful writer, but at the end of the day, it is who fans relate to the most and that is Donnie and Wilson working together.

Please don't take for granted what you have been able to accomplish with the Ip Man Franchise and self-sabotage the next installment. Fans are not even going to look at Ip Man 3, 3D or 2D, if Donnie and Wilson's names are not apart of the credits. Even with the recent success of the latest Ip Man Grandmaster movie and other spin-offs, they still don't hold water to Donnie's and Wilson's Ip Man.

Let's play "Kiss and Make Up" and pray Donnie and Wilson will even be interested in working on the film at this point. If you have to delay Ip Man, then do so. Don't worry. I know you will be able to appease investors and make your money back. Donnie and Wilson are both worth waiting for!

Do what Kevin Costner did for Whitney Houston. He knew she was the only one that could play the lead in The Bodyguard. He took a risk and waited a year until she was available to start filming. And you see how that paid off. Google it,if you are not familiar with Kevin Costner, Whitney Houston and the movie!
