I have started the attached petition in an attempt to get some sort of speed reducing measures installed in the village.
As I'm sure you are all aware, speeding through the village is an ongoing problem, which has only worsened since the resurfacing of Wye Road This is now like a race track, with drivers clearly ignoring the 20MPH speed limit signs and driving at increasingly dangerous speeds.
Following the recent loss of our own beloved cat and being aware of another recent incident in Pilgrims Way, I feel it will only be a matter of time before a person is injured or killed and appreciate your support with this petition.
We the undersigned call on the Highways Department to install speed cameras in the village of Boughton Lees.
