Many Sunshine Coast roads are congested daily to either motorists who are un-aware of the speed limit due to very limited signage. Often 100km zones are only marked at the very beginning of the zone.
Unfortunately many motorists for whatever reason don't seem to understand that it is important to be aware of road signs.
To accommodate these motorists and help reduce congestion, and in turn dangerous overtaking, there is a need for some zones to have much more frequent posting of the speed limit.
We the undersigned are calling for Main Roads QLD to provide more speed zone signage on the following roads to reduce congestion and in turn improve road safety by reducing the frequency at which drivers are overtaking slow going drivers on the opposite side of the road.
Steve Irwin Way from Maloolah - Landsborough (100kmh), Caloundra Maloolaba road /Corbould way from Caloundra rd To Kawana way and Nicklin way from Berrburrem st to Caloundra Rd.
