The 911 Heart Symbol was conceived and designed in the days immediately following the Sept 11, 2001 attacks. It was used to help raise funds for various charities of 9/11 and also resulted in lasting memorials built from its efforts.
The objective is to have people Never Forget those who perished in NYC, Washington DC & Shanksville Pa. To have a lasting tribute like the POW symbol. Those victims will always be in our hearts and never be forgotten.
Sept 11th 2001 is a day we all will NEVER FORGET nor should it be ever forgotten. We are formalizing a lasting tribute to those who perished and were affected by that fateful day.
The purpose of the 911 Heart Symbol is to be a ongoing tribute as the Official Symbol to be used in various capacities and to remind everyone that we should never take our lives or freedom for granted and to have a continuous tribute to those heroes we lost. People from over 60 different countries were lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
