Although fracking itself has been banned in New York, fracked gas is still transported from many other places to be used in our state. Fracking has an extremely negative effect on the environment, as do the emissions caused by the burning of these fuels. Additionally, pipelines carrying the gas can leak, contaminating water supplies and further damaging the environment. Our goal is to get Governor Cuomo to stop the use of fracked gas in New York and transition the state into using cleaner energies.
We are calling on Governor Cuomo to stop the use of fracked gas in New York for the benefit of the environment.
