The 2014 Peshawar school attack was a terrorist attack on the Army Public School in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on 16 December 2014 by seven gunmen affiliated with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), who entered the school and opened fire on school staff and children.
The attack claimed 141 lives, including 132 school children between eight and 18 years of age, with the remaining nine fatalities being staff members of the school.
An eight-hour rescue operation was launched by the Army's Special Services Group (SSG) special forces, who killed all seven militants and rescued 960 people.
Chief military spokesman Major General Asim Bajwa said in a press conference that at least 130 people had been injured in the attack.
