As citizens of Connecticut, we join the nation in mourning the senseless and violent loss of life of the children and staff at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
The goal of this petition is to further strengthen Connecticut's gun laws by banning large capacity magazines - those with more than 10 rounds- in Connecticut. All children in Connecticut deserve to be free from gun violence.
To the Honorable Members of the Connecticut General Assembly:
We, the undersigned, as residents, taxpayers, and/or voters from Connecticut, demand stronger gun laws, specifically:
a ban on large capacity ammunition magazines that contain more than 10 rounds.
