New Orleanians and other Concerned Citizens
United States of America

Since LA Swift's creation after Hurricane Katrina (August 2005), it has been a vital transportation mode for displaced New Orleanians. Newly elected governor, Bobby Jindal desires to eliminate the LA Swift service. Supposedly, Gov. Jindal proposes transfer of the $5.8 million to the "Highway Priority Program."

We, the undersigned patrons, petition LA Swift (Hotard) not to interrupt current shuttling from Baton Rouge to New Orleans and vice versa. Countless New Orleanians remain in the throws of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Employment, medical appointments and treatments, and personal business are paramount in continuing the LA Swift buses. There lacks any plausible reason to cease this transportation service.
