On the 22nd of September 2018, 22 year old Nicholas Ninow raped a 6 year old girl in a dros restaurant in Pretoria.
This petition serves to urge the court and justice system to be fair on the victim, in this case a 6 year old girl who was raped, and whose innocence was taken.
Her life will never be the same because of the actions of perpetrator from here on referred to as Nicholas Ninow. Ninow has been in court since 2018, and ever since then we have seen a series of delay tactics at work. We would like to stress that rape is never the fault of the victim but that is it the fault of the perpetrator, Nicholas Ninow in this case.
We have 2 questions in particular regarding this rape case, ie:
Why was Ninow not kept in a mental hospital if he is allegedly mentally ill?
Why is so much emphasis and attention placed on Ninow and not on the actual victim?

1. As concerned citizens we demand that the insanity plea of Ninow be rejected, our stance is clear that Ninow is not mentally ill, but that his actions display that of a rapist. (Rape is the sexual assault of one person onto other without the consent of the second party , and it is a dehumanizing crime, Nicholas Ninow has therefore displayed actions of rape and not of mental illness.)
2. We further demand that the young girl who suffered trauma is given therapy and counseling.
3. We demand that the insanity plea be rejected by the court, and that he be treated like a criminal and receive the maximum punishment on charges of rape, attempted murder and assault of a minor.
