The decision by the Australian Government to cut the African refugee intake, and the comments by Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews about Sudanese refugees, have alarmed many Australians.
It seems that in the lead up to the federal election, the government is playing the dirty game of racial politics once again.
The Australian African Network Inc wants to rally support from all Australians to say NO to racial politics.
We the undersigned,
demand that the Australian government continues to accept African refugees on the basis of human need, stop the stigmatisation of Sudanese refugees and of other Africans, and recognise the many valuable contributions made by African men and women to Australian society.
The Australians to say NO to racial politics petition to The Minister for Immigration, the Shadow Minister for Immigration and local MPs was written by JillSAAN and is in the category Human Rights at GoPetition.
