Kim Duthie - aka, 'The St Kilda Schoolgirl' has risen to fame by highlighting a combination of actual events, confessed and retracted lies, coincidences and setups.

The saga continues to this day with threats to respected organisations, daily changes of stories and wide exposure to our youth and community.

It has been said Ms Duthie has reaped the financial benefits of this tragic saga time and time again through paid media interviews.

The Australian media are sending an abhorrent message to our teenagers and youth that this is an advantageous way to conduct oneself in order to earn a 'quick buck'.

Sign the petition to let all forms of our media - television, radio, online, magazines - know that Australia objects to financially rewarding the extortion of an obviously troubled teenager. Put this circus to rest so the real issues can come to light.

We, the undersigned, call on the Australian Communications and Media Authority to communicate our grouped offense of further paid interviews pertaining to Kim Duthie, to all forms of Australian media.

We ask that for the interest of our youth and community, these offers be ill advised and furthermore that any media channel broadcasting or publishing paid interviews with Kim Duthie make this explicitly clear prior to 'going to air' so that the viewer can boycott the offering and this be reflected in the ratings.
