On 17th May 2011 Marrickville Council resolved to adopt the final St Peters-Tempe Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) Scheme subject to a number of amendments relating particularly to the Union Street/Foreman Street location within Southern Section B.
We're opposed to these amendments, as they all relate to the FULL ROAD CLOSURE of Union Street between School Lane and Edwin Street.
We, the undersigned, call on Marrickville Council's Traffic Committee not to include the amendments to the St Peters-Tempe Local Area Traffic Management Scheme.
We do NOT support the proposal closing of Union Street between School Lane and Edwin Street; including changing School Lane to a one-way only between Union Street and Brooklyn Street; and removal of the proposed Union Street 'shared zone' adjacent to Tempe Public School.
