Alternate solution to intersection at West Watson and Gravois

We, the community, would like to put in place a petition to ask that St Louis County consider an alternate intersection for West Watson and Gravois. Many of us recently lost two very loved and idolized members of our community, due to careless driving at thee above stated intersection. We know that careless driving is not something that St. Louis County can change, but we believe that a stop light will force drivers to stop and progress only at the discretion of the light.

We have analyzed all opposing conflicts and know that a stoplight in place could cause more traffic congestion. As many people would agree, a little extra traffic is not equivalent to the price of a lost life or the pain of having to mourn a loved one.

In the past 10 days, 3 innocent victims have lost their lives at West Watson and Gravois. Two of these victims from an accident that occurred on November 13th 2015, were loved family members and friends that many of us are still mourning. Now today November 23rd 2015 we are reliving the tragic effect of this loss with yet again another fatal accident.

We only want to make the community a safer place and give those of us who lost someone a little ease in knowing there can be a positive solution.
