We, the students of Sylvania Southview High School, feel that allowing students who are able to drive to leave school grounds, with a 42 minute time frame being able to get lunch where ever the student desires, will increase student morale, open additional food choices, and reduce the amount of traffic and preparation in the School Cafeteria.
Every day I go through the same routine of getting in a long line and standing anxiously waiting for the boring and bland cafeteria food and frankly it is repetitive. Because the schools decided to go "healthy" we have no option but to eat what is prepared for us, (more like the frozen food thrown in a microwave and served to us on a foam platter) yes there is the option of packing a lunch but what about those students who have both working parents and have to catch a bus and just don’t have the time for making a lunch. With this petition those students have the option to get the food of their choice and still be back to school by the start of the next period.
We, the undersigned, call on Sylvania Southview High School to allow students to leave the High School campus for lunch, in the allotted time of 42 minutes with the additional 4 minuets we have to get to class.
