Music is a big thing to most teens. In-fact most teens listen on a daily basics. Music makes most people in a better mood. I believe that if a student at WSD3 is allowed to listen to their music before and after school as well as lunch this would motivate them for school. Thus, making them be in a learning mood.
Teens tend to learn more when they are in a better mood and music does that because they listen to what they love. I asked 20 students if this was passed would they do better in school 17 said they would and 3 where not sure. Overall students learn better and are in a better learning mood when they listen to their favorite music.
We, the undersigned, call on the School Board of Widefield School District 3 to allow Ipods/MP3 players during lunch, before and after school, and during passing periods, and understand the consequences of using I pods during class time.
