There are people in Australia that smuggle in exotic reptiles from overseas into Australia. This will continue to happen because they are truly magnificent creatures that cannot be found in Australia.
If they were legalized in Australia the reptiles could then go through quarantine to decrease the chances of foreign diseases entering Australia. It would also give reptile lovers the chance to own an animal that they would never see around in Australia.
This is why I would like to have exotic reptiles legalized because it would be safer for both the animals and the people of Australia.
I know there are many reptile lovers in Australia beside myself. Even if you are not interested in owning a non-native exotic reptile, please take the time to sign my partition to help try and legalize these magnificent creatures to be brought into Australia.
This way if people were to buy animals from overseas it would be a lot safer and there would be very low chances of spreading diseases. Every bit of help counts!
