The Australian public have had enough of being ripped off by politicians and it's time we put a stop to this.
We the undersigned being of Australian citizenship request the elected members of the Australian federal government immediately put into place laws and rules to the effect that all politicians within Australia shall relinquish all entitlements to travel expenses and living away from home allowance.
In addition, politicians' superannuation should be reduced to the equivalent of the average Australian worker.
Once leaving parliament either by retirement or losing an election they will no longer be entitled to any exclusive political benefits. And effective immediately all past members of parliament will cease to receive special benefits from the public purse.
