Students with pets care for their pets just as much as people care for their children. Furthermore, the emotional relationships students form with their pets can provide huge benefits to their emotional health.
But currently, the University of Maryland Student Health Plan allow absolutely no help to students in covering health costs associated with owning a pet.
Use student fees to offer aid to students who need help caring for their pets as an addition to the University of Maryland Student Health Plan.
