Crohn's disease and UC is a lifetime illness and the cost of medication even on the drug payment scheme is too much.
Moviprep is not covered so that is an extra 21 euro, and then the doctor trips are €60 per go.
The long term illness list has not been reviewed or changed since the 70's.
We, the undersigned, call upon the Irish government and Minister of Health to add Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis to the long-term illness medication list.
