Whereas the Halifax Regional School Board is planning a series of consultations with the Halifax Citadel family of Schools entitled "IMAGINE OUR SCHOOLS", with the view of creating a 10 year Facilities Master Plan and;
Whereas St. Catherine’s school, located at 3299 Connolly Street, is a Primary to Grade 6 school with a French Immersion (Early Immersion) program and
Whereas the purported utilization rate of the St. Catherine’s school facility is 57%;
WE, THE PARENTS OF CURRENT AND FUTURE ST. CATHERINE’S STUDENTS, PROPOSE THAT A GRADE 7-9 JUNIOR HIGH BE ADDED TO THE SCHOOL in order to bolster the utilization rate of the school facility, and keep all the Community French Immersion and English Stream students together on one site in order to enhance the learning environment for our children.
