The Program Accelerated Reader Does not help Improve Reading skills. Infact the majority of the students from EMS have even said that it isn't fun to read a book if u have to. Reading shouldn't be tested on how many points you earn from taking tests on books. Reading is absolutely not fun at all when you have a reading range of 4.9-12.9+ = 37 points you need to earn.
I may not be correct only being 14 and all but I think that is a little bit ridiculous! I also may be wrong in saying that writing a couple of book reports a quarter is much more reasonable. That way there will be no ridiculous goals set by your teachers acclaimed to be quote "your goal" how can that be when you don't set it? So Sign this Petition
