Include people who collect SSDI with low incomes to the recently passed OTDA law excluding HRA from adding children's income to the household budget.

In April of 2009 The Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance passed a law, Chapter 53 of the Laws of 2008 18 NYCRR 352.3(k), section 2, summary I, paragraph 3; Effective April 1, 2008 districts must not include income or needs of additional SSI recipients residing with the applying household, regardless of their medical status, when such individual is not the “first person” on the application when determining the eligibility for and amount of the E, S, A, even when related to other household members by blood or adoption, or when legally responsible for any other household member.

We the undersigned, call on the OTDA to include low income SSDI recipients into the above mentioned law. SSDI recipients are just as in need as those receiving SSI.

The people who receive SSDI payed into the system unlike there counter part SSI for which it must depend on to survive.
