This is a petition to force Congress to provide benefits & proper healthcare to the 9/11 1st responders. After watching Jon Stewart sit before Congress & plead with them to provide the funds & proper healthcare for 1st Responders of the 9/11 tragedy I felt a petition should be started to aid my fellow Americans who risked their lives without thought to do their jobs to their best of ability in a time when they put the needs of others before their own & their families. These people are true heroes and a small act of starting a petition to assist those in need who are suffering from illnesses caused from the 9/11 event is my small way of helping those who would have or might have helped me. It’s true Congress should be ashamed for not acting sooner. By signing this petition you are informing Congress and the House Committee that you believe above average funds and benefits should be made available to assist the 9/11 1st Responders. I ask you to do this because we are Americans and any American knows that without democracy and compassion to help those who cannot help themselves makes us about as un-American as it gets. Whether Republican, Democratic, Liberal, race , color or creed we are human beings with the capacity to demonstrate compassion. This is after all what it means to be human beings.
