Universal Declaration of Human Rights- Article 15
(1) Everyone has the right to a nationality. (2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.

It has been five days since four Iranian kurdish refugees have gone on hunger strike, while no sign of casting any attention is being observed. Time is passing for these four refugees while cardiac and digestive disorders of which some of them are suffering, duplicates the danger of their action and also failure of their situation inquiry.

Five days ago four Iranian asylum seekers named Kamran Abdollahzadeh, Shajan Abdollahzadeh, Fakher Abdollahzadeh and Behzad Mir khanpour went on hunger strike in front of the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees' office, the institution which is in charge of scrutinizing the status of refugees, in order to make this institution hear their voice of depression. In recent months this organization aroused a great deal of objections because of the tortuous prorogation of attending the refugees' situations. These four refugees not only have faced the ignorance of UNHCR office but also have been threatened many times by the police of Ankara.

Considering their acute health problems, continuation of this situation may impose some irreparable consequences to them.

We, some of the refugees residing in Turkey who more or less have been involved in mental and financial problems because of the prorogation of our asylum status, warn about this procedure specially towards these four refugees and generally towards all of refugees who are waiting for their situation become clear. Moreover we want them and their situation to be paid prompt attention and having their dangerous hunger strike ended.

۱. هر انسانی سزاوار و محق به داشتن تابعیتی [ملیتی] است. ۲. هیچ احدی را نمی بایست خودسرانه از تابعیت [ملیت] خویش محروم کرد، و یا حق تغییر تابعیت [ملیت] را از وی دریغ نمود.

پنج روز از اعتصاب غدای چهار پناهجوی کرد ایرانی می گذرد، در حالی که هیچ قرینه ای مبنی بر رسیدگی به وضعیت این پناهجویان مشاهده نمی شود. زمان برای این پناهجویان در حالی می گذرد که اختلالات قلبی و گوارشی برای چند تن از آنان خطر این اقدام و عدم رسیدگی به این وضعیت را دو چندان می کند. پنج روز پیش پناهجویان ایرانی به نام های کامران عبدالله زاده، شاجان عبدالله زاده، فاخر عبدالله زاده و بهزاد میرخانپور در مقابل دفتر کمیساریای عالی پناهندگان سازمان ملل، نهادی که عهده دار رسیدگی به وضعیت پناهجویان است، برای رساندن صدای خود به گوش این نهاد که در ماه های اخیر اعتراض بسیاری را به علت اطاله ی طاقت فرسای رسیدگی به پرونده ی پناهجویان برانگیخته است، دست به اعتصاب غذا زده اند، اما در طول این مدت نه تنها با بی اعتنایی کمیساریا مواجه شده اند بلکه بارها مورد تهدید پلیس آنکارا نیز قرار گرفته اند. نظر به مشکلات حاد جسمانی، ادامه ی این وضعیت ممکن است تبعات جبران ناپذیری را متوجه این پناهجویان کند.
ما، جمعی از پناهجویان ساکن ترکیه که خود کما بیش با مشکلات مالی و روحی ناشی از به طول انجامیدن رسیدگی به وضعیت پناهندگی مان دست به گریبانیم، ضمن هشدار در مورد ادامه ی این روند در قبال این چهار پناهجو خصوصا، و همه ی پناهجویان عموما، خواستار رسیدگی هرچه سریعتر به وضعیت آنان و پایان یافتن اعتصاب غدای آنان هستیم.
