Recently Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Minister of the Madhya Pradesh state of India has declared to change the name of state capital city “BHOPAL” to ‘BHOJPAL’.
Bhopal itself is an identity for the world, there is no need to change the name as it is already in the name of Raja Bhoj. Why to lose the identity and incur cost to satisfy personal egos on the cost citizens.
We, the undersigned, protest against the recent declaration made by Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Minister of the Madhya Pradesh state of India to change the name of state capital city “BHOPAL” to ‘BHOJPAL’.
We fully support all lawful actions taken by the various organizations and Individuals who are opposing the change of name of Bhopal.
We are pleading to the state Government not to pass any bill/document/resolution in support/endorsing the declaration of Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, we also plead the Central Government not to accept the recommendations of Government of Madhya Pradesh if any received in this behalf.
