NOETIC report i.e. strategic review of juvenile justice system and interview of twenty stakeholders. As a part of our research there must be a diversion of funding from detention centres to intervention programs for vulnerable young people.
Based on recommendation number 52 of the recent Juvenile Justice Review Report called NOETIC Report and many interviews undertaken with youth service providers, early intervention programs are not adequately funded. We therefore ask you to increase funding for early intervention programs in the Parramatta LGA.
This is a necessity for the reduction of young people in detention centres. We urge you to take action on this critical matter.
