Under the new Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), the annual registration fee for Provisional Psychologists is $390. This is more than double the previous annual registration fee charged by the Victorian Psychologists Registration Board.
This is a substantial increase and is a significant financial commitment for Provisional Psychologists, most of whom are full-time students with limited income. The $390 renewal fee is the same as that charged to psychologists with full registration.
We, the undersigned, call on the Psychology Board of Australia to review the registration fees for Provisional Psychologists.
We wish the registration fees to better reflect the financial position of Provisional Psychologists and the capacity in which they practice.
