A lot of fathers suddenly find that when they split from their partners, the children that they had with that person, suddenly become pawns in an unwitting power struggle..as the mother usually stops the father from seeing the child, until demands are met, or just stops any form of contact.
Regardless of how the couple split, there should be equal rights for fathers, mothers should not be allowed to use their children in this way. The law should be fairer!
We the undersigned call on David Cameron, and the UK government to provide equal rights for fathers, regardless of how they are absent in the child's lives.
Make it illegal to stop any form of contact between a father and their children, unless there is just cause (i.e. abuse etc).
Put an end to children being used as pawns in these sort of power struggles.
