On June 25th, the annexation of four square miles in the Byram, Hinds County was mandated for the Mississippi Code of 1972 to be amended. The City of Jackson revised the water rates in the surrounding areas. The rates were doubled to $4.40 per 100 cubic feet of usage.
We, the undersigned, of the Byram district do request that the City of Jackson refrain from increasing our Water usage to $4.40 per 100 cubic feet which was previously set at $1.43 per 100 cubic feet.
